10 Best Bluey Games to Play at Home!

Keepy Uppy, one of the Best Bluey Games to Play at Home!

1. Keepy Uppy (Season 1, Episode 3)

In this hilarious game, Bluey, Bingo, and their parents, Bandit and Chili, try to keep a balloon in the air without letting it touch the ground.

The rules are simple, but the fun is endless as they dodge furniture and each other to keep the game going!

The excitement builds as they invent new ways to keep the balloon afloat, including using only their heads or feet.

Tips to Play At Home:

Grab a balloon (or a few for extra chaos) and find a safe space where nothing breakable is within reach. Set a timer and see how long you can keep the balloon from hitting the ground.

Add some challenges like only using certain body parts or staying within a specific area. For added fun, you can even play some upbeat music and have a little dance party while playing Keepy Uppy!

2. Tickle Crabs (Season 2, Episode 20)

Another one of the great Bluey games is Tickle Crabs. Bluey and Bingo pretend to be tickle crabs, chasing their dad, Bandit, and trying to tickle him. Bandit has to evade their tickly pincers while the girls have a blast trying to catch him.

Tips to Play At Home:

Pretend to be crabs with pinching claws (use your fingers) and try to tickle each other. Make it a tag game where the person who gets tickled becomes the new tickle crab.

Just be sure to set some boundaries to keep the tickles gentle! This game is perfect for getting out some energy and sharing lots of laughs.

Magic Xylophone, one of the Best Bluey Games to Play at Home!

3. Magic Xylophone (Season 1, Episode 1)

One of our favorite Bluey games is Magic Xylophone. Bluey and Bingo find a magical xylophone that can freeze their dad, Bandit, in place whenever itโ€™s played. The girls have a blast making their dad do funny poses and then unfreezing him.

Itโ€™s all about controlling the magic and seeing how long they can keep Dad frozen!

Tips to Play At Home:

If you donโ€™t have a xylophone, use any toy instrument or even a spoon and pot. Choose one person to be “frozen” and the others to play the “magic instrument.”

When the instrument is played, the frozen person must stay still until it’s played again.

To make it even more fun, create a story around why the person is being frozen and what theyโ€™re doing when unfrozen.

4. Featherwand (Season 2, Episode 3)

Bluey and Bingo use a magic feather that Bingo found to make things light and heavy.

Whenever Bingo waves the feather, objects (and even Bandit) become either incredibly light or super heavy.

The kids have a blast testing the feather’s powers and seeing how it affects the world around them.

Tips to Play At Home:

Find a feather or a soft toy wand. Use it to “cast spells” that make things light or heavy.

For example, when the feather is waved, everyone must pretend to struggle to lift something heavy or act like they are floating because they are light.

This game encourages imagination and physical activity. You can take turns being the feather holder and come up with creative scenarios for what becomes light or heavy!

Dance Mode, one of the Best Bluey Games to Play at Home!

5. Dance Mode (Season 2, Episode 1)

Another one of our favorite Bluey games is Dance Mode. Bluey and Bingo activate “Dance Mode” for their parents, Bandit and Chilli. Whenever Dance Mode is activated, the chosen person has to stop whatever they are doing and start dancing, no matter where they are or what theyโ€™re doing.

Tips to Play At Home:

Create your own Dance Mode button (a simple piece of paper with “Dance Mode” written on it works). When someone presses the button, the chosen person must immediately start dancing.

Play some music to make it more fun and see how creative everyone can get with their dance moves. It’s a perfect way to inject some spontaneous fun into your day!

6. Bus Driver (Season 2, Episode 22)

Bluey and Bingo pretend to be bus drivers, with Bandit and Chilli as their passengers. They pick up imaginary passengers and go on a fun-filled adventure.

Each stop is filled with imaginative scenarios and lots of laughter as they navigate their route.

Tips to Play At Home:

Use chairs to create a “bus” and let the kids take turns being the driver. Use stuffed animals or dolls as passengers, and encourage your kids to narrate the journey.

Where will the bus go today? Maybe to the moon or a dinosaur park! Add props like tickets or maps to enhance the role-playing experience.

Grannies, one of the Best Bluey Games to Play at Home!

7. Grannies (Season 1, Episode 28)

One of the most hilarious Bluey games is Grannies. Bluey and Bingo dress up as grannies, complete with shawls and glasses. They shuffle around, causing all sorts of delightful mischief.

The girlsโ€™ grannies personas, Janet and Rita, get into hilarious situations as they navigate their day.

Tips to Play At Home:

Grab some old scarves, glasses, and hats for your little ones to dress up as grannies. Encourage them to walk slowly and talk in funny voices.

Maybe they can bake some pretend cookies or reminisce about the “good old days.” This game is all about imagination and storytelling.

8. Shadowlands (Season 1, Episode 5)

Bluey and her friends play Shadowlands during a picnic. The rules? You can only step on the shadows!

They navigate around obstacles, making sure to stay within the shady areas to reach their goal. This game is all about creativity and quick thinking as the shadows shift and change.

Tips to Play At Home:

Pick a sunny day and head outside, or use a flashlight indoors. Set up some obstacles (like pillows or toys) and create a path where players can only step on the shadows.

This game is perfect for sparking creativity and teamwork. Encourage your kids to come up with their own rules or additional challenges to keep things interesting.

Octopus, one of the Best Bluey Games to Play at Home!

9. Octopus (Season 2, Episode 40)

Another one of the great Bluey Games is Octopus. In this game, Bandit pretends to be a giant octopus while Bluey and Bingo try to sneak past him.

The octopus (Bandit) uses his “tentacles” to catch the girls, adding an element of excitement and suspense as they try to outmaneuver their dad.

Tips to Play At Home:

Pick someone to be the octopus, and the rest of the players try to sneak past without getting caught by the “tentacles” (which can be represented by arms, pool noodles, or even ribbons).

The octopus can only use their “tentacles” to tag others, making it a fun game of skill and agility. Add challenges like sneaking quietly or moving in slow motion to mix things up!

10. Walk Straight (Season 2, Episode 8)

One of our favorite Bluey Games is Walk Straight. In this game, Bandit challenges Bluey and Bingo to walk in a perfectly straight line without getting distracted.

Of course, distractions abound, from tempting snacks to funny faces, making it nearly impossible for the girls to stay focused and walk straight.

Tips to Play At Home:

Draw or tape a straight line on the floor and challenge your kids to walk along it without veering off.

To make it more fun, you can act as a distraction by making funny faces, offering pretend snacks, or even tossing soft obstacles in their path.

See who can make it to the end of the line without getting sidetracked!
